M/T Siping | RamForum.com | Dodge Ram Forum for Truck Owners & Enthusiasts
Hello community, Possible stupid question, but I’ve heard some people say it is a thing. Is it possible to “effectively” add siping to a M/T and get actually ice driving capability? On previous rigs I’ve always ran a Ko2 and had pretty good off road winter driving ability. On my Power...

Why Good Tires and Skill are not Optional in Alberta - and Lots of ...
Wide tires on good for floatation but they don’t make them wide enough to float my 9000lb truck. Then steering might be a problem. Most m/t tires don’t have much siping which is what makes good snow tires.
Toyo MT's in the snow and ice? - RAM FORUM
I have Toyo MT 35x12.5 R17 (with light siping from Les Schwab) on my 2018 Power Wagon. Tires are inflated to 45psi currently. I haven't really driven this truck in the snow and wanted to see what it would do. Everything here is either icy or slushy right now. I took it to a friend's house...

They were awesome in mud and off-road but my goodness don't drive them in snow or hard rain lol. That was rather dangerous with absolutely zero siping! I learned my lesson and will never buy that type of tread (with no siping) for a daily driver. I have no experience with your other listed tires. Good luck! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using ...
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT - RAM FORUM
As soon as I saw the tread I was like damn that looks like the falken wildpeaks! they added extra siping and irregular tread blocks in the middle. Im sure its a great tire though!
Yokohama Geolandar x-at review - RAM FORUM
The siping in the inner and outer tread blocks did what looks to be a great job at picking up snow. while the outer blocks could dig into the snow. In the forth picture, I'm really liking the sidewall tread picking up the snow as well.

Cooper Evolution M/T All Terrain Tire - 35X12.50R20 reviews?
I'm not familiar with the Evolution M/T, but I do have Cooper's Discoverer AT3 and STT Pro tires. I can tell you the siping on those tires goes much deeper into the tread. That helps with traction on wet roads even as the tires wear down. I ran KO2s for years and was very happy with them but the siping doesn't go as deep and once they're wore down they don't have the same traction on wet roads ...
